We call our new titanium dioxide-free powder FRENCH POWDER because titanium dioxide has been banned from food in France. This is not the case here in Germany and does not apply to cosmetics in either country. But the media has made it one of the key issues and that's why some customers are reacting accordingly.
We took this development as an opportunity to produce some of our foundation colors without titanium dioxide. They are the best-selling shades plus dark powders from the 5 series and DEEP DARK. Dark powders get along relatively well without TIO, but it is problematic with light powders because TIO is the best brightener among the color pigments that we have available.

Dark foundation in a warm caramel tone. This foundation has the warm brown tone so it can be used well for contouring on yellow-grounded skin. It is also ideal for dark-skinned people.
Ingredients:
Calcium Sulfate, CI77499, CI77491, Boron Nitride, CI77019, CI77492, CI77947, Silica.
Take some of the foundation into a small glass or ceramic bowl. From there, take the powder with the Kabuki brush and stir it in the bowl until the powder is evenly distributed in the brush. Then apply it to the areas of the face that you want to darken.
We recommend working with three foundation colours when contouring: With a dark one on the wings of the nose and under the cheekbones and with a very light one (e.g. alabaster) on the bridge of the nose, between the eyebrows, on the cheekbone. Then take the person's actual foundation colour and use it to smudge the dark and light powder with firm circular movements.
Dry application: Take about a knife tip of the foundation into a small glass or ceramic bowl. From there, pick up the powder with the Kabuki brush and stir it in the bowl until the powder is evenly distributed in the brush. Then apply it to the face in circular motions. Start in the centre of both nostrils.
Wet application: Make your own custom tinted moisturiser by mixing the foundation into your day cream. This is also a good trick (before powdering with the Kabuki) to fill in large pores.
Mix mineral powder & oil: If you mix the fine powder with pure vegetable oil (vegan), you have care and beauty in one. Simply mix a few dashes of oil with a knife tip full of mineral powder in the palm of your hand with your finger and apply to the skin. Don't worry: the powder won't absorb into the pores or clog them. Both products together have a nourishing effect.
