Finding Your Perfect Powder Shade - Made Easy
Choosing the right foundation shade doesn’t have to be complicated.
All you need to do is focus on your SKIN TYPE, meaning your SKIN TONE - not your color season or color type.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Identify Your Skin Tone (SKIN TYPE)
SUPER LIGHT - Very fair skin (whitish, pale, translucent)
LIGHT - Light skin (light beige, creamy tones)
MEDIUM - Medium skin tone (naturally balanced, healthy, slightly tanned)
DARK - Deeper skin tone (sun-kissed or mountaineer complexion)
DEEP DARK - Very dark skin (commonly found in people with African or Asian heritage)
Step 2: Consider Your Skin Condition
This step is often even easier than the first:
YOUNG SKIN - Smooth and even, with few or no blemishes
PROBLEM SKIN - Prone to breakouts, acne, or irritation
MATURE SKIN - Signs of aging such as dryness, fine lines, or age spots
MEN’S SKIN - Typically firmer and thicker
Step 3: Find Your Undertone (SKIN UNDERTONE)
This is where color analysis comes in. Our foundations are divided into three undertone categories:
YELLOW - Warm, yellowish undertones (common in Spring and Autumn types)
NEUTRAL - Balanced, neither too warm nor too cool (can appear in all skin types)
ROSE - Cool, pink or bluish undertones (common in Summer and Winter types)
Too complicated? Try our simple test!
If the three-step method feels overwhelming, just choose your overall skin tone and order the matching sample set. Each sample set includes four likely shades for your skin tone.
To test:
Apply a 1 cm wide stripe of each powder shade to your cheek using a brush. The stripe that blends in so well you can hardly see it - that’s your perfect match.
